A heating pad is great for treating patches of pain, but now there's a way to use heat therapy on your entire body at once
Have you ever had a pain in your leg from a muscle that had been pulled and been told to try heat therapy to sooth it? Did it feel good when the heat penetrated the muscles that were causing you pain? Have you ever wished, when you've woken up with the flu that your heating pad was able to perform heat therapy on your entire body at once instead of the little patch that it could only heat around your shoulders? Wouldn't that day have been a good day to step inside a room that contained a temperature of anywhere between 100 and 190°F?
Heat therapy can be accomplished through the use of a sauna. Whether it is a dry sauna, an infrared sauna, or a steam sauna, the use of heat for healing aches and pains and sore muscles is irreplaceable. Now that being said, some argue that the infrared sauna is the best to use if you are continually suffering from muscle pain or joint aches.
The infrared sauna provides a more direct heat to the body to help in the heat therapy process. Some shy away from this sauna because the technology is so new; however, for those who like the benefits of heat therapy but don't like the idea of the dry environment of the dry sauna or the wet environment of the steam sauna, they might consider the infrared sauna as the best choice for them. The infrared sauna heats up the body directly instead of heating the air in the room, providing a fresher environment for the user.
While treating sore muscles in the sauna, you might want to also keep in mind that saunas are also good for other purposes other than heat therapy. Saunas can aid in weight loss, stress relief, and can rid the body of toxins, making you feel good all over.
